TachyonStorm was founded in 2001 by Jim
McKay.
Jim has almost 20 years of experience with
the U.S. Air Force/Air National Guard in Satellite Communications (SATCOM)
and Theater Deployable Communications.
Jim has also worked in the computer storage market, planning, engineering
and managing everything from Network Attached Storage (NAS) to storage
and backup systems. And most recently, some various Tactical Communication
projects and proposals for DoD.
Jim brings this knowledge to
TachyonStorm.
TachyonStorm is committed to
developing the high-speed wireless market.
TachyonStorm will develop innovative wireless solutions that will
pave the way in the amount of bandwidth delivered to the end user.
TachyonStorm's Terrain Adaptive
Technology™ will allow the distribution of multi-gigabit wireless
(radio) communications over a 3-10 mile range.
While other manufacturers are
developing hubs that limit the overall throughput to under 400mbps,
TachyonStorm will deliver systems with hub capacity at 10gbps (10,000mbps)
or higher.
